ASS #6 - THE FINAL
For the final I wanted to do something fun, something that sparked interest, entertained and delighted the masses. I feel I did just that! I chose to take photos of friends, families, and acquaintances with the things they 'collect' or have found them selves having a lot of over the years.
here we go...
Kyle - book worm favoring science fiction
Thank you!

Toni and her childhood HOMIES (70 homies for .50 cents each... $$)
Mike Spice: attended most recent world tour and only needs 2 more SG cds to complete his collection
Elliot or SMELL and his collection of old school Nintendo greatness
Cousin Keva and a fraction of the letters from her mission
Little Lexi with her most favorite magazines; Nylon, Urban Outfitters and Anthropology
Miss Alyssa and dance outfits ranging from now to when she began dancing at 12
Jake and his recent collection of bullet shells from the latest family reunion.
Born on Christmas day, lovely Rachel and her collection of Nut Crackers
My boy, with his babies. Preston and his film camera collection.
Mike has kept every movie ticket since he saw Bruce Almighty in theaters eight years ago
My GORGEOUS mother, Mary Ann and her shoes. I consider it her collection when she knows the year when she got the shoes and the sale she bought them at.
The best part about this whole thing is how HAPPY it made these guys to have their photo taken with things most SPECIAL to them.
I have loved taking photos in RAW, finally understanding depth of field, learning to bracket, finding good light..
I love the question "WHY do I take pictures?"
I love the question "WHY do I take pictures?"
and try to ask myself every time I do.
I am happy I still make mistakes to learn from.
This has been most definitely my favorite class.Thank you!

COLORS... what can I say, I love them.
One thing I feel I improved on with the assignment... Lighting and white balance.
One thing I feel I could have done better.... BE LESS BORING, go outside for petes sake!

Assignment #2
This was MUCH more of a challenge than I thought.. and I already expected it to be a challenge. I took the majority of these pictures while traveling this memorial weekend which I enjoyed because it gave me some fun diversity in photos. I found this assignment very frustrating and also very rewarding because I was able to learn more patience and control from my mistakes.

Assignment #1 - Scavenger Hunt
original
prettied up
ugggly
For this assignment I took pictures of my dog Stitch and so many, too many of plants and flowers. I liked this one because the flower I decided to focus on was kind of sickly and at the end of its life, not in full bloom. There is a subtle contrast I enjoy.
